GLS strengthens its presence in Andalusia with a new hub in El Puerto de Santa María

Cádiz, March 5, 2026 – GLS Spain announces the opening of its new logistics hub in El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz), a strategic project that strengthens its operational network in southern Spain and responds to the sector’s growing needs for expansion and optimisation.

The new facility, located at Avenida Félix Sancho, 9, in the Las Salinas de Levante Industrial Estate, has 3,751 m² of operational space, complemented by 601 m² of office space distributed across two floors, designed to accommodate and facilitate the work of the various operational and support teams.

The hub features 48 van loading positions and 6 trailer docks, enabling smooth and efficient operations, even during peak demand periods.

Its strategic location, with direct access to the A-491 motorway, ensures optimal connectivity with the main transport corridors in southern Spain, strengthening GLS’s distribution capacity and responsiveness in the province of Cádiz and nearby areas.

“The opening of this new hub in El Puerto de Santa María reinforces GLS’s commitment to Andalusia, providing the region with first-class infrastructure prepared to face market challenges and guarantee agile, secure and sustainable logistics,” says Cristóbal Monje, South Division Manager at GLS Spain.

Commitment to efficiency and employee well-being

The hub has been designed under strict energy efficiency and sustainability criteria. The sandwich-panel roof allows greater natural light entry and contributes to energy savings.

For employees, the design prioritises well-being and functionality, featuring two floors of offices, a training room, dining and rest areas, as well as spacious and well-lit workspaces. Equipment includes a forklift truck, manual pallet jacks and electric pallet trucks, ensuring optimal working conditions and safety.
